First Friday Devotions The First Friday of every month has always been
considered special in the church. The celebration of liturgy on
these days reminds us of the ultimate sacrifice made by Jesus on
that Good Friday afternoon. From the very beginnings of early
Christianity, and through the centuries of our Church's traditions,
We have always had a special
reverence and devotion to these days. These prayer services will consist of either
the rosary, a communion service, the Devine Mercies, or liturgy of
the
hour, and will conclude with Denediction. We welcome you and your family to join us.
Please consider making this day
a part of your prayer life.

benn involved in various activities in

Knights are Catholic men, 18
years of age and older, who are committed to making their

more than camaraderie; it is being involved with your
community; it is supporting your local Catholic Church, while
enhancing your own faith; it is about protecting and enhancing your

Parish Hall
Rentals AS most of you know,
our parish hall can be rented by families or organizations for
private and public events and celebrations.
The parish Finance Board recently approved the following fees which
will take afftect September 1, 2009:
• A $150 dollar retainer will reserve the hall for your event. ($50 will
be refunded after the event, provided that the kitchen, hall,
and restrooms are left in proper order.); • A non-refundable fee of
$50 will be charged to civic and community organizations for
public meetings and events; •
Our Bereavement Ministry provides the opportunity for families
to gather in the parish hall after the funeral mass of a loved
one. This
service has been provided to our families free of charge,
but as this involves much time and labor by our coordinators,
hostesses, hosts, and bakers in set-up, service, and
clean-up, a goodwill donation is gratefully
appreciated. “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” Outreach Do you enjoy
cooking? Our ministry is looking for additional people to help in
this very important(and delicious!)
outreach. Our teams provide meals on a monthly basis for those in
the parish who can use an extra hand whether it’s due to illness,
job loss, or a happy time, such as the birth of a child.
